Everyone is welcome! If you don't know how to crochet, we can will teach you.We are holding this event to produce crochet chains (roots) for Helen Heibert's Mother Tree Project as part of the Portland Building's Installation Space program. For more info about project click here. Attached is a picture of the "roots" she is looking for and sketches of the paper dress to be produced from the "roots."

What you can bring: You don't have to bring anything, of course, but if you feel so inclined here's some things that can be helpful: crochet hooks, natural fibers for crocheting (ej: hemp, linen, cotton, hair, etc.) - please keep the color palette neutral (think trees), snacks (There will be delicious sweets, but feel free to add to the snackage.)
