March 26 from Noon – 2pm at the Levy Senior Center

Community members of all ages are invited to the Evanston150 Community Rally Saturday, March 26th from Noon to 2pm at the Levy Senior Center at 300 Dodge Avenue, Evanston.  Drop in anytime during Noon to 2 pm for a free taste of some of Evanston's most popular restaurants, experience live performances highlighting Evanston's cultural arts scene, and learn about Evanston150 – an exciting grassroots project that gathers your ideas for our future.

In 2013, Evanston will celebrate the rich history of its 150 years. This milestone is a unique opportunity to celebrate our past and shape the next phase of our future.

Evanston150 invites us all to celebrate this anniversary by looking ahead. Where do we go from here? Which big ideas for Evanston’s future would make our community a better place? We are looking for at least 2,013 ideas from which community members will eventually select 10 projects with broad support and the potential for a long-lasting positive impact on Evanston.

In July, once everyone’s ideas are in hand, a selection committee will narrow down the list to 100 projects, present them to us for review, and invite us all to participate in choosing our final top 10 for Evanston.

Evanston150 selection committee application forms will be made available at the Community Rally and on the Evanston150 website at www.evanston150.org.  Volunteers are needed to help staff the Community Rally and upcoming Evanston150 events.  To learn more about selection committee service and volunteer opportunities, please send an e-mail with your contact info to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
