The Evanston Public Library will hold an open house to launch another season at the Summer Reading Stop in the Evanston Plaza shopping center

Festivities will include:

4 p.m. -- Storytime with local celebrities, including Alderman Braithwaite.
4:30 p.m. -- Tail Waggin’ Tutors: meet the therapy dogs & sign up to practice reading to a furry, patient listener.
5:30 p.m. -- Acoustic performance by Evanston duo Tisa Batchelder and Gregg Ostrom
6 p.m. -- Ice Cream for all!
